Mesothelioma cancer is a very dangerous type of malignant cancer that can develop in some internal organs in the body. The main three region that can develop memsothelioma is the pleura, the peritoneum and the pericardium.

The types of mesothelioma can be divided to three types according to the place of mesothelioma tumors, when mesothelioma tumors develop in the pleura the case will be "pleural mesothelioma", when tumors develop in the peritoneum the case will be "peritoneal mesothelioma", when tumors develop in the pericardium the case will be "pericardial mesothelioma"

The pleural mesothelioma is the most type of mesothelioma cancer, in this type the tumors develop in the pleura, the pleura is the outer lining of the lungs. The main case of that type is the exposure to Asbestos materials.

The peritoneal mesothelioma is less common type than pleural mesothelioma but it may be more dangerous, the tumors in this type develop in the peritoneum which can be known as the outer line of the internal organs in the abdominal cavity. The cause of this type also related to Asbestos exposure.

The pericardial mesothelioma is the cancer of the sac of heart which called Pericardium. This type also related to Asbestos exposure. Till now the scientists didn't know the way that Asbestos can reach the pericardium region, the prospect of that case that the Asbestos may reach the pericardium throughout the blood stream.

The final non malignant type of mesothelioma is the benign mesothelioma that can be treated easily by surgery.
